Ring free for Germany's strongest U18 upcoming boxers
From November 3 to 7, 2026, the sports hall at Südstadion in Cologne will transform into the stage for the International German Youth Championship in Boxing U18. Ambitious young athletes will compete in ten weight classes for the German championship title and for important experiences in youth high-performance sports.
K.O. system ensures excitement from the first round
Every match can change the tournament's course. The championship will be held in a K.O. system: Following the preliminary rounds are the semifinals and the decisive final bouts. In Olympic boxing, precise footwork, controlled pressing, tactical discipline, and the ability to consistently implement one's own game plan over three rounds are crucial.
Five days full of competitive excitement
The tournament kickoff on Tuesday includes team check-in as well as the technical meeting and draw. From Wednesday to Friday, several events are planned. The first final event will take place on Friday evening, before the last title fights occur on Saturday. Weigh-ins and medical examinations are part of the standard procedure on each competition day.
Junior high-performance sports with international aspirations
The championship serves as an important testing ground for young talents from the ten weight classes in both girls' and boys' competitions. Coaching teams will observe the development of their athletes, while the fighters will demonstrate tactical maturity, fitness, and mental strength under competitive conditions.
Stadium atmosphere in the sports hall at Südstadion
When the gloves clash, the ring bell sounds, and fan chants fill the hall, an intense boxing atmosphere is created. Audience noise, concentrated glances in the corner, and the tension before each decision make the title fights an immediate sports experience in Cologne Zollstock.
