Hand in Hand: Get Creative Together in Porz
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, the Porz District Library invites you to the open crafting meeting Hand in Hand. From 4 PM to 6 PM, a lively meeting place for adults and teenagers will be created, where knitting, crocheting, knotting, and working together will take place.
Creative Break with a Personal Atmosphere
Amidst wool, yarns, and individual projects, a relaxed event atmosphere develops. The crafting meeting combines creative activities with exchange and community. Visitors bring their own materials and work on what brings them joy.
Share Experiences and Learn from Each Other
Whether it's your first stitches, years of crafting experience, or a favorite project of your own: everyone is welcome at Hand in Hand. The open organization creates space for mutual help, practical tips, and new ideas. Notepads and pens are available for recommendations and small reminders.
Open Offer for Teenagers and Adults
The event experience is aimed at people of all ages and different types of crafts. The focus is on meeting, the joy of creating, and the relaxed atmosphere in the district library. The event management of the city library thus emphasizes low-threshold cultural participation and a personal approach to the target audience.
Well Accessible and Barrier-Free Equipped
The Porz District Library is located at Alfred-Moritz-Platz 1 in Cologne-Porz. The tram line 7 and several bus lines stop at the Porz-Markt station. Marked disabled parking spaces, an elevator, and a barrier-free access through a side entrance are available; the entrance area and the restrooms are partially accessible for wheelchair users.
Conclusion: Craft Together and Make New Contacts
Hand in Hand offers a free creative break with personal exchange, helpful tips, and plenty of space for your own projects. Those who love crafting or simply want to learn new techniques in a pleasant atmosphere can experience an open meeting point right in Porz.
