Securely Discover Digital Reading Worlds: Personal Assistance for eMedia
Those who want to use digital books, audiobooks, and other eMedia from the Cologne City Library can receive individual support at the Chorweiler district library. The personal consultation on November 6, 2026, is aimed at users of Onleihe and Libby who would like to clarify specific questions or technical difficulties.
Individual Consultation for Onleihe and Libby
The focus is on a 30-minute individual consultation for e-lending. This is not a general introduction, but rather about specific problems encountered when using Onleihe and Libby, also known as OverDrive. Whether registration, borrowing, downloading, or reading on one's own device: the consultation addresses the participants' questions directly.
Bring Your Own Device
The reading and consulting atmosphere of the library is transformed here into a practical digital workshop. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own smartphone, tablet, or e-reader, along with a specific problem description. This allows the individual steps to be understood directly on the familiar device.
An Offer from the Chorweiler District Library
The event is part of the Digital Workshop series of the Chorweiler District Library. It combines library expertise with personal support and facilitates access to digital media. For a general introduction to Onleihe, additional digital tutorials from the city library are available.
Conclusion: The personal assistance offers a concentrated, low-threshold way to gain more confidence in handling digital library offerings. Anyone wishing to use Onleihe or Libby more confidently in the future will experience a direct and practical author encounter with digital reading culture in Chorweiler.
