On Thursday, November 12, 2026, your favorite stuffed animal will experience a very special family adventure at the Bocklemünd/Mengenich district library. During the creative crafting afternoon, thumb cinema films will be created to entertain during the nighttime stuffed animal party.
Creative crafting fun for little explorers
From 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, cutting, designing, and marveling will take place in the library. Children bring their stuffed animals and together they craft a thumb cinema. Little picture stories will be created, making movement visible and playfully inviting storytelling, observing, and designing.
A special night full of imagination
After crafting, the stuffed animals will stay in the library with their new friends. While the children sleep at home, their little companions will have their own overnight party among books and the cozy library atmosphere. On the next opening day, the stuffed animals can be picked up again – along with unique photos of their nighttime adventure.
Important note for families
During the sleepover, only the stuffed animals will remain in the library. The children participate in the crafting afternoon and can pick up their stuffed animals on the next opening day. Registration via the city library's booking system is required.
