Story Time in Cologne-Mülheim: Great Stories for Little People
On November 11, 2026, the Mülheim district library will transform into a cozy place for imagination, curiosity, and shared wonder. During the free story time, children aged 3 and above will experience picture book stories, funny adventures, and new book worlds together with their families.
Exploring with Picture Books
When a story begins, doors open for children to unknown worlds. Well-known characters like Findus, Lieselotte, and Zilly are just as much a part of the potential reading program as new and unusual picture books. Viewing the illustrations together sparks conversations, questions, and many little moments filled with children's laughter.
Age-Appropriate Learning Fun for Children Aged 3 and Above
Reading aloud supports children's language development, expands vocabulary, and strengthens concentration. The event is designed for children aged 3 and above and combines warm family time with a valuable learning experience. Listening, discovering pictures, and sharing their own thoughts promote imagination, expressiveness, and joy in books.
An Open Meeting Place for Families
The Mülheim district library is located directly at Wiener Platz and serves as a meeting place for reading, learning, and spending time together. Families will find a diverse media range, children's books for different age groups, and space to linger. The library also places value on multilingualism and cultural participation.
Accessible and Family-Friendly
The district library is located in the Mülheim district office. The entrance area and elevators are accessible for wheelchair users; marked disabled parking spaces are available. The Mülheim Wiener Platz stop is served by tram lines 4, 13, and 18 as well as several bus lines.
Conclusion: Dive Together into the World of Books
The story time offers families a relaxed hour with exciting stories, colorful pictures, and valuable impulses for children's development. Come by, make yourselves comfortable, and experience this free family event live at the Mülheim district library.
