Scissors, Pen, Paper: Creative Craft Fun for Kids in Cologne

Creative Craft Time for Children in Chorweiler

When paper rustles, scissors click, and colorful ideas emerge, a special family experience begins: At Scissors, Pen, Paper, children aged 6 to 10 transform various materials into colorful artworks.

Snipping, gluing, and designing

In the craft workshop of the Chorweiler district library, children discover the joy of creating on their own. They cut, glue, and combine different materials into creative projects that they can keep or gift afterwards. Personal creations filled with laughter, curiosity, and pride come to life.

Age-appropriate fun learning with scissors and glue

The crafting event offers a child-friendly learning experience: while planning, cutting, and gluing, children playfully train their fine motor skills, concentration, and creativity. Making their own decisions fosters independence and makes development immediately tangible. Working together also creates a wonderful sense of community.

Free entry and easily accessible

The event takes place on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 4 to 5 PM at the Chorweiler district library. Participation is free. Registration is possible by phone at 0221 / 221-96401 or via email at chorweiler@stbib-koeln. The library is accessible via city train line 15, bus lines 120, 121, 122, 125, and 126, as well as S-Bahn line S 11.

Safety and shared experiences

The crafting program is designed for children aged 6 to 10 years. When handling scissors and glue, age-appropriate design, safe surroundings, and the joy of creative experimentation are the focus. Families enjoy a relaxing hour of shared time, where each child can contribute at their own pace and with their own ideas.

Conclusion: Small hands, big ideas

At Scissors, Pen, Paper, children can expect a varied crafting hour with creative materials, visible successes, and much fun in learning. Mark the date now and give the young artists an inspiring hour at the Chorweiler district library.
