Reading aloud, marveling and diving into stories together
At Reading Worlds, children aged 3 and up can experience a lovingly designed picture book time on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the interim location of the Central Library in Cologne. From 11:30 to 12:00, the door opens to imaginative stories and special picture worlds – a calm, stimulating family experience in the city.
Great stories for small listeners
In the children's library on the first floor, young visitors discover well-known heroes like Findus, Lieselotte, and Zilly as well as new and unusual picture books. Together, the children look at the illustrations, follow exciting plots, and are surprised by funny moments.
Child-friendly learning experience with lots of imagination
Reading aloud strengthens the joy of language, images, and shared conversations. The half-hour event is appropriate for children aged 3 and up and combines curiosity, listening, and first literary experiences. It fosters fun in learning, concentration, and valuable time together for children and their companions.
A cozy family moment in the library
The event takes place in the children's library of the interim location. The protected indoor atmosphere provides a suitable setting for children's laughter, wonder, and gentle encounters with books.
