Imaginative Picture Book Creative Time for Little Story Fans
When exciting stories spark colorful ideas, reading becomes a family experience: At the Picture Book Creative Time in the Nippes district library, children aged 4 and above dive into a picture book world together and then create their own matching artworks.
Reading aloud, marveling, and discovering together
An exciting, educational, or funny picture book story is the centerpiece of the event. While listening, children develop their imagination, playfully expand their vocabulary, and experience how stories stimulate feelings, questions, and new ideas.
Getting creative with colors and imagination
After the reading, the creative time follows: The children craft and paint according to the story. This results in their own pictures and small works that make the heard story visible. This strengthens children's expressive ability, fine motor skills, and enjoyment of independent creativity.
Age-appropriate and family-friendly
The offer is aimed at children from 4 years old and combines reading promotion with child-friendly creativity. The manageable duration of one hour provides an appropriate framework for attention, learning fun, and shared time. Parents see how playfully language, imagination, and social experiences come together.
Easy to reach and barrier-free
The Nippes district library is accessible by light rail and bus. The entrance area, a passenger elevator, and the restrooms are accessible for wheelchair users. Designated disabled parking spaces are also available.
Participation is free. Registration through the booking system is required.
A family afternoon with children's laughter and fun learning
The Picture Book Creative Time combines cozy listening with creative experimentation. Families can expect an engaging learning experience where children not only hear stories but also think further with colors, shapes, and their own ideas. Mark your calendars and experience the imaginative reading hour live.
