MINT-Storytime in Cologne: Little Researchers Discover the World

Reading, Wondering, and Experimenting: MINT-Storytime in Cologne

Curious children discover the exciting world of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology at MINT-Storytime. On October 28, 2026, the Bocklemünd/Mengenich district library combines a child-friendly reading hour with creative experiments and crafting together.

Stories Open the Door to Science

During the reading, children experience how fascinating questions from books lead into the real world. Pictures, stories, and understandable explanations make complex topics accessible for their age. This strengthens language development, awakens curiosity, and creates a learning experience that conveys joy in discovery.

After Reading, It's Time to Experiment

After the reading, children are allowed to become active themselves: crafting and experimenting will take place. Practical trials support the development of problem-solving skills, concentration, and creative thinking. Children immediately experience how a question turns into an exciting discovery.

Age-Appropriate Learning Fun for Children Aged 4 to 8

The offer is aimed at children aged 4 to 8 years. The combination of reading, simple experiments, and joint activities provides a child-friendly introduction to MINT topics. Families experience shared time, children's laughter, and a playful entry into scientific thinking.

Family-Friendly Venue

The Bocklemünd/Mengenich district library offers a quiet place to arrive and explore together. The entrance area is fully accessible for wheelchair users. The library can be reached by tram line 3 to the Ollenhauerring stop, as well as by bus line 127 to the Börnestraße stop.

Conclusion: Discovering Together Makes You Smart and Happy

MINT-Storytime provides families with a diverse mix of stories, learning fun, and practical discoveries. Children are allowed to wonder, ask questions, and try out their own ideas. Those who want to connect science with joy and shared time will experience a warm, child-friendly family event in Cologne.
