Game Testers: Discover New Games Together
In the district library Kalk, children and teenagers become curious game testers. During the family event on November 10, 2026, they will try out current games on the PC or console, share their thoughts, and provide their own opinions.
Fun with Responsibility
From 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, games for children aged 6 and up are on the agenda. Teenagers aged 12 and up test suitable games for their age group from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The clear division supports an age-appropriate and child-friendly gaming experience.
Media Education Participation
Media educator Patrick accompanies the groups and listens attentively. The feedback from the young testers, along with assessments from other tester groups in North Rhine-Westphalia, will be included in the Player Guide NRW. This way, children and teenagers learn to evaluate games consciously, describe content, and express their media experiences clearly.
Curiosity, Exchange, and Learning Fun
Trying out new games combines children's laughter, concentration, and collective discovery. The event strengthens media competence, expression skills, and group interaction. Parents will see how digital games become an opportunity for reflection, communication, and a valuable learning experience.
Easy to Access and Barrier-Free
The district library Kalk is accessible by tram lines 1 and 9, bus line 159, as well as S-Bahn line S 12 and regional train RB 25. The entrance is accessible for wheelchair users. A passenger elevator, marked disabled parking spaces, and assistance for hearing-impaired persons are available.
Conclusion
Game Testers offers children and teenagers an exciting family experience with current games, professional guidance, and real participation. Participation is free and does not require prior registration. Anyone wanting to discover new games and experience media competence, a sense of community, and learning fun should attend this afternoon live at the district library Kalk.
