Participate in Digital Art: Digital Drawing Workshop in Cologne-Kalk
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the local library in Kalk invites children to a creative workshop focused on digital drawing and the software TagTool. From 11 AM to 1 PM, participants will create their own drawings and collages, which will be animated and projected live onto an interactive glass wall. Admission is free.
Make Your Ideas Visible with TagTool
The focus is on the playful introduction to the TagTool app. Under professional guidance, participants will discover how drawn shapes turn into vibrant graphics, graffiti, and animations. The digital drawing workshop combines media education, art communication, and collaborative experimentation.
Glass Wall as a Creative Projection Surface
The electronic TagTool wall in the local library is particularly impressive. Personal motifs can be animated and directly projected onto the glass surface. This transforms the library into a colorful experience space where drawings are animated, shared, and collaboratively developed.
Creative Workshop for Children Aged 7 to 12
The offer is aimed at children aged 7 to 12 years. The event is suitable for young visitors who enjoy drawing, digital media, and creative technology. The organization combines a clear target audience focus with a hands-on event experience and a relaxed audience atmosphere.
Modern Venue with Accessible Access
The local library in Kalk is located in the district town hall at Kalker Hauptstraße 247-273. The entrance is accessible for wheelchair users, and there is an elevator as well as designated disabled parking spaces available. Additionally, aids for hearing-impaired and blind or visually impaired individuals are provided. The tram lines 1 and 9, bus line 159, and S-Bahn and regional trains at the Kalk-Trimbornstraße station allow for good accessibility.
Registration and Participation
Participation requires registration through the booking system of the City of Cologne. Since the workshop lasts only a few hours and hands-on media work is the focus, the children can expect a concentrated, varied, and communal creative experience.
Conclusion: Experience Digital Creativity Live
The Digital Drawing Workshop demonstrates how a library can become an open space for digital education, art, and collaborative experimentation. Children will discover TagTool, create their own motifs, and see their ideas come to life as projections on the glass wall. Families should take advantage of this free event in Cologne-Kalk and register in time.
