Comic Lounge 67: Great drawing ideas for small and big comic fans in Cologne

Comic Lounge 67: Embarrassing moments turn into funny stories

When an uncomfortable situation suddenly becomes an exciting comic, a special family experience for young drawing talents begins at the neighborhood library Haus Balchem. At Comic Lounge 67, everything revolves around the theme "Sturmi's collected embarrassments".

Develop your own comic ideas with Leo Leowald

Comic artist Leo Leowald shows children and teenagers how experiences can be transformed into images and stories. Embarrassing moments can be altered, shortened, or imaginatively complemented. This creates a child-friendly learning experience that strengthens creativity, expressiveness, and the courage to present one's own ideas.

Draw, marvel, and laugh together

The Comic Lounge is aimed at aspiring comic artists aged 9 and up. Like-minded individuals meet, exchange ideas, and discover special tips about drawing. The focus is on the joy of creating, curiosity, and learning together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Aged appropriately and with educational value

The program is designed for children and teenagers aged 9 to 19. The creative handling of personal experiences supports the development of imagination, storytelling ability, and self-confidence. A small mishap can turn into a humorous picture story – a valuable experience for one’s own expressiveness.

Important notes for families

Participation is free, but registration through the booking system of the City of Cologne is required. The event takes place at the neighborhood library Haus Balchem from 4:45 PM to 6:45 PM. The building is only very limited accessible for wheelchair users. The tram lines 3 and 4 stop at the Severinstraße station, while lines 15 and 16, as well as several bus lines, stop at the Chlodwigplatz station.

The Comic Lounge 67 connects children's culture, literature, and creative development into an inspiring family experience. Those who love to draw, invent stories, and become creative with others will experience two hours full of fun learning, children's laughter, and new ideas.
